Reflection

I think summer camp 2.0 was excellent! Here's what I took away from this experience: 1. An overview of web tools to use in the classroom 2. freedom to explore them to the extent I felt comfortable with and had time for 3. a stress free environment in which to do the work (summer, my own home) I still need help with a few of the items 1. Sharing my google doc on my blog 2. embedding shelfari on my website Struggles I will try to fit in a few more responses to people's work, but I did not always find the time to post my thoughts about classmates' assignments. I feel that this experience was valuable, and I got what I wanted out of it. My hope is that the Summer Camp 2.0 instructors will leave their blog up as it is so that I can revert back to tutorials and ideas for instruction as the year progresses.

  1. All good comments!

I have a question for you...do you already have tsis on your ipad? Do you remember what the name of the app is?

Another question: I will be teaching on section of 6th grade LA this year. Could you and Beth and I meet sometime, perhaps next week to talk about curriculum. Beth and I met and it was a great start of a conversation and I know that this year the two of you are going to change up some of the curriculum.

  2. Jen,
I like how your reflection is concise and specific. I have not checked out all of your assignments, but I am glad to know what you took this class, so you can be another resource to help me and motivate me to use our new Web 2.0 tools!
